Bringing Back the DARK GODDESS (invocation/poem)
We are unwinding the pall of patriarchy from our collectively oppressed,
now awakening psyche
We are bringing back the dark goddess
The goddess of this fecund earth
the goddess of sacred death, void, & blessed, messy birth
She, the center of the gyre, healing wisdom reborn upon the pyre
Welcome, goddess of infinite, lover of ALL spectrums of beings
Expose now every beloved’s innate worth and value.
Welcome, full expression of emotion, raw, shameless truth, life-affirming devotion
And to what we do not understand, in curiosity we open
Let there be No Fear of dark watery mystery, sublime energy,
Spiraling circles, the reality of nipples, or the time to bleed
& No Fear of darkness, for by the light of stars we see stars in the eyes of every creature that be
In the dark cave of heart beating, we feel her fire burning, tenaciously renewing, rhythm leading, life yearning...
As she refuses to take excuses, chops away at all delusions
Demands, you! - surrender your story, your identitie’s confusion let go!
Expose your trembling truth!. Now! ..clearly.
She is calling us to re-member- a greater sense of "we",
Listen.. trust your Instincts, intuition, quiet inner knowing
Awaken to the dreams, the seeds we are sowing
Her secret is in the contraction; her power grows the trees
& she feeds the needs of the wild ones who live amongst these.
It's time for the Re-wilding!
All around...It's the nature of our hearts, to love out loud!
To growl and howl, to sing, dance, and be free!
In joy, sensual pleasure, vibrant honoring sexuality
Yes! We welcome the remembrance of our oneness, (we share this world together, all borne of her vagina!)
Let there be peace...Within all the people (you are love!)
Peace between all people. (Love big, unconditionally!)
Peace between the people and this earth,...(great Mama!)
O, She is weaving, ever weaving
The seen and unseen with the sky which is breathing (Breathe witch, breathe!)
All of Us, each one, as One, into awakened infinity...
May the inflammation of the shame of our ancestors be healed by honoring ourselves and all those who have suffered, as our Self. We are all one. May we honor the path we have all taken to get here, may we honor the struggle, even if it is not one we know in our bones. May we know when we don't know and still breathe deep compassion, may we honor the pain and do as we would for any child, and move to heal the wounds that ignorance and fear have inflicted. Let there be truth, let there be love, let here, now be light- in balance with the darkness, yes- the full embrace of all of life.
